We met Angie standing outside her home with her granddaughter Nani. I had been carrying a teddy bear around with me from town to town in the car until I met Nani. Her smile was proof teddy found its home.
Elvira Rodriguez
With half of the roof missing and water damage to most of her personal belongings, Elvira was simply sitting inside her home with her friend Macho. Macho flew from Orlando Florida to assist her with patching her roof with zinc and wood that had been discarded from other damaged properties. Elvira lives alone with no power and no water, and FEMA had not come to assess her home.
