Animal symbols serve as reminders of qualities (i.e. strength, wisdom, patience) we all want to have. As reminders, the rooster sign conveys deeper meaning, and an aid on our path to obtaining the qualities of the virtue we desire. The rooster has been celebrated to be a protector, a guardian that enlightens paths to our hidden self or enlightens our path to take notice of hidden powers. The rooster is the celebration of life by embracing the sun. The more common symbolism of the rooster is strength, courage, and masculinity.
